Impressive Livestream Viewership Records on Twitch and YouTube

Over the years, there have been remarkable milestones achieved during live streams. Here are some of the standout viewership records from both Twitch and YouTube.

On January 11, 2021, Twitch witnessed a historic moment. Spanish streaming sensation David ‘TheGrefg’ Cánovas Martínez broke the record for the highest concurrent viewership as he unveiled his exclusive Fortnite skin. He then secured another spot in the top 3 Twitch records on January 29, 2023, with over 1.7 million viewers tuning in for his streamer awards.

However, on June 25, 2022, another Spanish streamer, Ibai, surpassed that record by amassing over 3 million live viewers for his second boxing event. Meanwhile, on YouTube, Casimiro claimed the record with over 6 million viewers.

When Ibai's event returned in 2023, he once again outdid himself, with 'La Velada del Año 3' attracting over 3.4 million concurrent viewers. French streamer Squeezi secured the third spot on Twitch with 1.3 million viewers for his racing event.

While North American streamers dominate the list, non-English streams are rapidly gaining traction on Twitch and YouTube. It's foreseeable that more streamers from diverse regions will vie for a place among the most-viewed streams ever.
